LLMs will never be able to fully translate English questions to semantically equivalent SQL queires. Simple queries can always be properly translated, but in general - in cases where deep understanding is required. This 'deep understanding' requires a proper interpretation of quantifier scope, nominal compounds, prepositional phrase attachments, etc.
